Associate Director – Molecular Oncology

My client is seeking a highly creative team leader to join the exploratory biology group. The candidate will be responsible for identifying and validating new metabolic targets in the context of cancer. This person will contribute to shaping up the target portfolio. The candidate will direct internal studies and will collaborate with academic investigators to advance exploratory efforts.
Qualifications
• PhD or MD/PhD in Biochemistry, Genetics or Cell and Molecular Biology and 7+ years of industry experience
• Strong background in cancer biology and cancer metabolism
• Experience in target identification and validation as a principal investigator in an academic setting, or as team leader in an industrial setting
• A proven record of accomplishment depicted by high impact publications in peer-reviewed journals and by patents
• Ability to mentor young scientists
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
